Oh Ricardo The Brave

Everyone this is Ricardo The Brave, Ricardo this is everyone. ( I don't even know if anyone even reads this blog but I digress) This is Ricardo The Brave he is very special to me. He represents all of the filtering power that exists in my body. I have been battling with kidney issues for a while and in February we said farewell to Ricardo's brother Guissepe The Weak. He went up to that box in heaven that is holding the rest of my organs that have made an early departure. It has been Mutiny on the Ship O Myra for a while now and Guissepe is just the most recent to join the club. Back to the point. I went to hottie Dr. Johnson today and got a clean bill of health. Ricardo is doing great. I can grow people(if I ever decide to do that craziness again), I can get a job, I can run a marathon, I can go to school, I can drink myself moderately silly with Diet Coke. We will check on him every year and see how he is doing. And I will still need to moderate my fluid intake everyday. But I have been given Healthy Person Status. I am a Healthy Person that only has one kidney!!! Which is much better than sick person that requires maintenance. Ladies and gentleman I have arrived. I would like to send a shout out to all my functioning organs that think the party aboard Ship O Myra is just the best thing since sliced bread. And I would formally like to stick my tongue out at those organs that think they are too cool. You know who you are(thyroid, galbladder, kidney) Peace Out Word Up Go Fight Win!

Aren't kidney problems the best? Alex's new kidney....or Ben's kidney in Alex's body, or the thrid kidney as we call it, is working really well.
But we just found out that Eli is 60% of the way to kidney failure so his kidney could last 6 months or a couple of years....but the anticipation as you know is sooo exciting!
